Elisabeth was born in Berlin, Germany. Her parents, a Bulgarian father and Spanish mother, were long-time members of the Staatsballett Berlin and opened their own ballet school soon after her birth. Elisabeth was surrounded by ballet from an early age. Yet, they deliberately held back, understanding the profession’s demanding nature and wanting her passion to be entirely her own. Even so, it became clear that ballet was simply meant for her.
